ohhoneybear - our story.jpg

At Oh Honey Bear, we bring you limited edition handmade scarves and accessories for you & your furry best friend. Our scarves are handmade with love in Brooklyn and monitored closely by Honey (just kidding, she’s probably napping!). We source fabrics from upcoming fashion trends so it complements your wardrobe too!

All enamel pins are designed in house, with input by Honey’s appetite for food and all her hungry pet friends. If you have any suggestions for future designs, please send us a holler!

Every purchase benefits a local non-profit no-kill animal shelter

All the dogs above are from rescue shelters in New York City. Pickle (Boston terrier mix) was a puppy from a new litter, Honey (shih tzu) was found roaming the streets in Brooklyn with overgrown hair and health issues, Pucci (minpin mix) was from an abandoned home, and Bowie (border terrier mix) was a stray from Tennessee. They all found their forever homes because of the dedication of animal shelters.

A portion of every purchase will go to Social Tees Animal Rescue in New York City. They are a not-for-profit, strictly no-kill 501c3 organization in the East Village of NYC that takes abandoned animals from kill shelters and provides them with safe haven and veterinary care before placing them in proper forever homes. We have a special place in our heart for them because it is where Honey was from! You can learn more about their amazing work on their website here!

who we are

Hi! I'm Jane. (Founder/Dog treats dispenser)

So nice to meet you!

I’m a photographer, full-time dog mom to Honeytamtams, and now the founder & designer behind Oh Honey Bear. After working for so long in the creative field, often staring through camera and computer screens, I needed to get back to my roots and create something tangible. After adopting Honey in 2014, it was inevitable to not spoil her. Creating unique scarves for Honey became so fulfilling, we decided to share it with you! I love fabric shopping with Honey, feeling the quality of premium products, and realizing our furry best friends deserve to look their best.

This is Honey! (Chief Fur Officer/Dog treats receiver)

Honey was found on the streets of Brooklyn with long matted hair. She had terrible ear infections, wasn’t spayed, and lacked essential socialization skills. Within a couple months of belly rubs, chicken dinners, and lots of walks and naps, Honey became an integral part of the family.

Now she’s a pro at naps, dreaming audibly, and chasing neighborhood cats. She's accustomed to NYC train delays, often sleeping through the entire ride. Her perpetual “resting bitch face” means she’s on top of quality control, never shipping anything not up to her standards. You can also follow her on Instagram.
